What i Learned through out the year

This is the last time ill do blogs 4 a while if ever again. I've learned through out the year of science is about what's on Earth's surface the layers of the atmosphere and how much there actual is on the "blue marble" called earth.

The first unit we did at the beginning of the year and the fist blog of the year was about an enigma box. I showed how much water can be held into it til water came out a spout. But more to the point the first unit that we did at the beginning of the year is about the moon and its summer and winter solstices and its equinoxes also the changes the moon goes through in a month and how it affected the tides during the day and night.

The next unit after that is the atmosphere. What we basically learned is, what are the layers, how they are important, how earth would be without the atmosphere, what should we do to conserve the atmosphere. Also talking about green house glasses and what effect would it have on the atmosphere and the world itself. We also had to do a huge project on the atmosphere and also the green house gases and how much of an impact it taking on the world right now also what we need to do in order to stop the global warming and heal the ozone little by little.

After the big project, we started on how clouds form and also weather fronts. there are many weather fronts, warm weather fronts, cold weather fronts, stationary fronts, and occluded fronts and how these weather fronts formed.

Well thats all there is to it everything I leaqrned through out the year some were better than othetrs, but it was a great year 4 science good bye and good luck.

Ways to Reuse

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/FEG/bestworst.shtml
This website talks about what are the best cars on the road and what's the least best car to drive around. The it Lists off the best cars by car brand and its name. Out of all the cars it was the Prius out of all the cars that would be seen on the road. The being is that the Prius is a hybrid. A hybrid is a car that has a combustion enigine powered by electricity.
How im gonna use the website is to show what the cars contribute to how our earth is today and what position we are in right now on planet earth.

fuel effecient cars

I have a project that has to do with conserving and the best i thought of was talk about fuel efficient cars.
What, specifically about your topic, are you going to research? To see what are the best cars to drive during our oil crisis and what kind of cars that aren't so great to drive about. there are cars out there that are becoming more hybrid such as the Prius the best car known for being a hybrid. A hybrid is a car with a combustion engine with an electric motor as a power source.

What conclusions did you come to? What do you recommend average citizens do to make a difference? Be specific. This is the main part of your assignment. That hybrids are the best cars in the world to roll in the streets. If u dnt have a hybrid, drive less or get better fuel for your car.

What would happen if, worst-case scenario, nobody listened to your recommendations? The worst possible thing that could happen if we dnt start a change now would be that the ozone would completly deplete and then radiation would get really bad from the on to earth. Global warming would increase very rapidly making the ocean rise even more.

What would happen if, best-case scenario, everybody listened to your recommendations? If i would be heard then gradually the ozone would start to repair itself and it will stop most of the pollution that going on everywhere. Unfortunatly the Polar ice caps will not come back that the down side to the idea.

Penny experiment

The way the experiment worked was like this: u take a penny and put it on a flat surface, with a water dropper and count how many drops it takes to make the water on the penny overflow. that the penny can only handle about 20-25 drops most. The outcome of this is that when ur careful u can get more than 40 water dropplets before it overflows. This experiment shows a good example of cohesion, which means that water sticks to anything close together. This was able to happen is beacause the surface and the water was sticking together very tightly until the water reached its breaking point.

Mariana Trench

Picture of the Mariana Trench

The Mariana Trench is located Southwest of Guam in the Pacific Ocean. If you would want to visit the trench, you would most likely likely be an engineer since the trench is at such a tremendous depth, or a biologist to study what kind of plants grow and animals live at such a depth. The challenger Deep is located in the Mariana Trench. The Mariana Trench is 11 kilometers deep. Plant life has a hard time surviving so far down due to no sun light and high pressure. Animals can survive deep down around and in the trench. A lot of these animals use bio essence to attract prey and mates or keep away enemies. The trench reveals that the ocean floors are very undiscovered and not well know since only one trip has been successfully made all the way down to the trench. The connection between humans and the trench is that the trench gives engineers a challenge to reach such depths in the ocean. The trench attracts humans to explore.

Q3.what is this area called?
A. The most common place to find earthquakes in the world is the "Ring of Fire" in the Pacific ocean.

Q4.where is the earhtquake close to Manitou springs?
A.the closest place an earthquake hit was in Denver, we couldn't feel it cause it was a weak earthquake for us to feel but in Denver they could feel it.

Q5.what was the most recently ocurred earthquake?
A. The most recent earthquake occurred today Nevada the magnitude was not recorded. last about 4-5 minutes. http://quake.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Maps/119-38.htm to look at the photo.

Q6.How can people protect themselves from earthquakes?
A. the best thing u can do in an earthquake is to go to a nearest sheltar as soon as possible.
